Default Corvette T56 Main Shaft Options

I have a 99 c5 and am looking at a couple main shaft options

First, g-force 9310 27 spline main shaft

Second, 30 spline oem c6z06 main shaft. If going this route what is involved in making it work? Machine pinion gear, etc? Is a 30 spline pinion available?

Which option did you go with and why?

Thanks!

Did you have a failure?

if your main shaft snapped because of wheel hop, that needs addressed.

I prefer the 30 spline; the G-Force rev. gear bearing setup is unique.

RPM can help with the pinion gear.

No failure. I have the transmission apart for a rebuild and am upgrading parts as I go. The main shaft is on of the parts that I need to replace and I figure I ought to upgrade it.

I plan on 3.90 or 4.10 gears so I can modify the pinion at that time.

Just looking to see what others have done.

I do not think the G Force shaft is currently available.
