Somebody please give me the answer to this. I have been searching for 2 hrs now.

I want the gm rear tranny seal part number for a 98 t56 ls1.

is 12530278 correct?
Some sites say is is the rear seal and some sites say its the front mainshaft seal. Contradiction all over the place.

I show 2 part numbers for the 98 LS1 T56. 10117848 and 12530278.

10117848 is the double lip design


12530278 is the triple lip design
