Default clutch help on 99 frc vette

Just bought a 99 frc vette. Fully built HCI car with mcloed twin disk rst clutch and tick master. When I purchased the car I got a steal on it bc the owner said the clutch was going out (slipping). Well.make a long story short I took the car out today and launched it at 3k rpm.and all the way through 5th gear the car pulled hard as hell though all gears with no slipping. I get home and pull up my driveway (slight slope) and I hear a grinding sound as I'm climbing up the hill. Is this the clutch slipping or it is just the sound im making it do bc I'm not fully used to the clutch feel yet and I'm making it slip myself? I know it's a different type of clutch that doesn't just grab and go.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

Torque tube couplers, trust me. It WILL trash your pilot bearings as well.

Thanks for the info. I've been told it was the pilot bearing also.

Sounds about right, total pain in the *** in these cars. I love my corvette but I miss the simplicity of working on my old Camaro. If you search the corvette forums you can buy the torque tube couplers and a new pilot bearing for pretty cheap if you shop around, I bought the BMW couplers for next to nothing. LMK if you needs links or anything, just try to fix it asap before you take out the input shaft.
