Default Best Place to get rebuilt T56 Transmission

Hello,
I currently own a 2006 GTO, 6 speed MT, and the transmission and it grinds under load shifting from 2nd to 3rd and 3rd to 4th. Same goes for downshifting into 4th and 3rd. I have been looking around for rebuilt kits and it seems that Tick performance does a good job, however from my understanding you have to send in your entire transmission and they rebuilt it for you which isn't exactly what I want to do.
<non-sponsors removed>

Which both seem to be reasonable. I have a great shop that will do the entire rebuilt, I just need the kit in order to do so.

What other companies do you guys recommend? Any input would be awesome. Thanks

-Matt

Are you looking to purchase a rebuilt unit and send yours in as a core? Or are you wanting to just get the parts to rebuild yourself?

Tick sells good kits I do believe. They have sponsors on here so I believe I can say that

Tick and <non-sponsor removed> are good. Either can provide parts vs. a full rebuild.

Be careful assuming a homer shop that does automatics knows the ins and outs of a manual. Been there, seen that.

The best place to get a rebuilt transmission is from one of our sponsors.

It's fine to have technical discussion here about any company, parts they make, etc. However; asking a question in a way that opens up the thread to free advertising for all is a challenge - particularly for the great companies that pay the bills to keep the lights on here.

As to not benefit one sponsor over another with the closure of this thread, any member can check out our sponsors offering manual transmission services by searching the Vendor Directory link at the top of the page and selecting that filter for specialization:
