Monster/tick level 3.. need help quick..
Ok so I bought a Level 3 monster clutch and tick adjustable master, I have had it in the car for about 2,000-2,500 miles now.. this morning on my way to work, coming off one highway onto another i take this ramp every day at about 50.. I come up on a slower moving car and drop to third gear to get ready to go by them once it goes straight, punch the gas (slip) let out hit it again and get another little slip then it grabs...
I have noticed since the first 500 miles the clutch pedal has continually gotten softer, I know i have everything adjusted properly.. and it feels as though its engaging higher and higher every time i drive the car..

I hope so, its bugging me.. I want to know why its now so soft, it engages and disengages completely. and why slip like that I was completely in gear and my foot wasn't even on the clutch pedal.. And I was moving at a good pace 3k rpm in third stepped on the gas and slip, I didn't expect that my stocker wouldn't even do that when it was going out.. The only time it ever slipped was on a 6+k rpm 1-2 shift

I installed a monster level 2 and a tick mc a few months back...
where is your clutch pedal in relation to your brake pedal...is it lower? higher? even?
the way you're describing the problem makes think that the clutch disc is not properly mating with its surfaces...i hope that is not the case!!! can you smell anything when the event is taking place?

Honestly, if the engagement is getting softer I would look for leaks/possible fluid contamination. You can overextend the pressure plate and damage it with an incorrectly adjusted master cylinder.
Give us a call and we'll go over things with you, you'll get a quicker/more detailed response over the phone.

ok I will have to make a call into you guys later in the day, my pedal height is just a little lower than my brake pedal.. the guys at Tick posted on my install post and gave me instructions on how to set up the master, but honestly I was suspecting the pressure plate as well.. I haven't yet smelled anything when this happens, i think mostly because i can tell the second it starts to slip and i let out of it.. i do not want to burn this thing up, i cannot afford to flush $1,200 right now, my house burnt down a few months back and its being rebuilt now.. money is tight because of other expenses related to living in hotels and such.. also there are no leaks anywhere, I have checked that multiple time's.. I was worried about that as well

hey guess what! ******* comments are not needed. yes i understand how to read.. thanks.. not worried about how low the pedal is on the car.. the only reason i posted the pictures about pedal height is because, I was told to adjust my master down.. well if I take it any lower it will never disengage completely, I only have about 1/4 inch off the bottom before the clutch starts to grab..

yes, There is no air in the system. I just went through all of this again last weekend, I have no problems shifting gears.
My problem is when i go WOT above 2nd gear it slips, or if i am running the car hard making a fast shift from say 1st to 2nd it will not even squeak the tires.
just slips and I have to let back out of the gas before it will grab, but as soon as I go WOT again.
I can feel the clutch starting to break loose, and when that happens the car shudders bad... Its to the point that I have to pull the clutch back out of the car..
I know 100% that this in not a hydraulic issue....
It never bleeds off and I've never had to pump the pedal up to get my clutch to disengage.

I really wish I could do this today, I hate to do this but I am going to have to put my old clutch and flywheel back in the car until we get this sorted out..
I cannot have my car down right now, because I have no where to park it because of what happened with my house.

It's fine, I can't assess the clutch when it's in the car and if it's slipping we need to look at it. Get it out and shoot some pics to steve@monsterclutches.com, I'll go over this with you and will get you taken care of.
