Default Gto t56?

The guy that sold me this trans told me it was from a GTO, but after opening it upto inspect it I noticed a cast aluminum shift fork. I thought GTOs came with steel forks. Did i get bamboozled?

That trans does have a steel 3-4 shift fork. I dont think anyone makes a 1-2 steel fork.

Looks just like my MN12 '06 GTO trans I just had apart...

My trans had the steel 3-4 shift fork and an aluminum 1-2 fork.

Does it have the triple cone syncros???

EDIT: It looks like it does...

I does look like a triple double syncro trans. That 5/6 journal looks pretty worn. Look inside the 5/6 cluster gear and check to make sure the splines are still good.

Thanks for the replies. It is a gto t56. After talking with Hason from TDP he explained the worn journal so I sent it to him to get it fixed. Thanks again guys.
