In the process of installing a LS3 in a 68 Camaro with a console and the shifter needs to come back 1.5" where can I get that shifter piece with that offset?

Adapt and overcome ? Which shifter position are you using on the box ?

If it really needs to go rearwards beyond the box...

I am using the Hurst Blackjack shifter which originally minimized any tunnel cutting but like I said with the engine moving forward the shifter arm now comes in contact with the front of the console opening. I thought it would be an easy fix as they, Hurst, would simply sell a different offset to mount the shifter arm.

Why not modify the original tremec shifter? What I do is measure where I want the shifter, remove the stub from the base plate, cut the stub and move it in the direction you need it. Very very easy to do and doesn't cost you anything but a little leg work.
