Just as long as we now now I am the undisputed king of extreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeme fonts.

For what it's worth, I bought a monster 3 (with light weight flywheel) a while back and now I don't want it, haven't installed it. I need some slippage. Though driving a light switch clutch on the street does make my chest and ***** swell slightly. Good times. Baboon *****.
With tuning and a pedal stop you woukd be surprised at just how good the light clutches can be. Turning off my throttle cracker really helped alot. And by light i mean extreme light like mine and lazerlemons......this 25-30 lb clutch stuff is normal driving really.

Lol.......so you put a dual mass clutch in your hotrod

Another thing i like about a small light clutch is there is much less chance of it coming through the floor if it breaks. I hope muhthugga has a blow proof to further add weight to his awesome set up.

looks good
Not a terrible choice. Still a bit heavy for my tastes

Now with that POS LS7 clutch that used to be in it you could mash the gas to the floor down shift prior to releasing the throttle and it would be a good 4500rpm if you were lucky and well you were ready to roll at much slower rate of acceleration. I have done a lot of things and as far as a wear item to be replaced to gain performance there is nothing better then a light(er) clutch. The comment about using the clutch for torque management cracks me up. With the traction control on I can blow the tires off my car and it takes seconds for it to even function now lol
Good post right here.

LS7 clutch belongs in the garbage. Even with a stock car.

it is a method of torque management. it helps to slow the acceleration rate of the engine through its weight.

is it an advanced method of torque management? no
is it effective? yes

Wow, I didn't see any responses for a week, and then boom! I got the clutch installed, with a lot of issues. The pilot bearing was stuck, and when the mechanic went to get it out he knocked the freeze plug into the oil pan. It took a week to get her back.

Driving impressions: it doesn't feel like a fat baboon *** that likes to twerk it. It's definitely heavier, but I feel like it grabs more, though that could be because I had the original 1999 slave cylinder. I installed a shim along with it (.150"). The clutch doesn't grab from the floor. It grabs at the stock ride height. I think I'll have to break it in before I run at the track. I'll post up time slips later, probably around April. Definitely streetable.

Get a clutch pedal stop if you want to set engagement height. That will help.

Honestly I've never heard of that part before. Where does it connect to?

Currently I like where the clutch pedal is grabbing, but people keep stating that this style of clutch is self leveling, and my concerns are that it might go up to the top of the pedal, travel wise, after some break in miles.

Time will tell.

Thank you to all that shared their opinion. This was primarily a budget clutch. When weighing options the clutch I wanted (The McLeod twin disc), was just too expensive (Literally over $2,000 with parts and labor).

I should mention I don't drag race all that often (Maybe 2 -3 times a year).

I don't understand how you guys even put an LS7 clutch in? I tried behind my LS2 and it seems like everything was different. Luk part numbers LFW191 flywheel and 04-216 clutch kit. I was basically being cheap but the car is bone stock and just a daily so I was looking to repair it only. I'm about to just buy a stock one that properly fits though.

The luk clutch number was 04-905 (Complete clutch kit). You will need a slave cylinder as well though. Some argue on putting in a shim or not. At stock power level it will definitely hold, but as others have said, it's a heavy clutch.
