Default New LUK 04-905 clutch slipping

I installed a new Z06 clutch set up on a new 525hp LS3 crate eng. This is with a T56 2001 Z28 transmission. The pedal pressure is very light I can push the clutch in with my hand.
I have driven the car about 50 miles and the clutch seem to operate fine under light load but slips as soon you accel.
I removed the transmission and checked my clearance and there is about ,125" on the release bearing. Did anyone else that has used this setup notice such a light pedal pressure? Don't really know how this should feel this is a new install on a 2nd gen camaro.

well, i don't know much, but i DO KNOW that the "04-0905" is an oem ls1 replacement. the Z06 LUK clutch kit is 04-216 .... maybe that's the problem?

04-905 is the ls7 clutch kit with the raised flywheel...ls1 is flat...part # just depends on how its packaged...about 500rwhp and sticky tires is all they are good for at the track..will take more on a street tire with no traction

and THAT info my friends is 94 + 6% wrong. 2 totally different kits - one is a direct/stock/oem replacement for a 1998-2002 firebird/camaro ls1 or a 1998-2005 corvette .... the other, part #04-216 ... is the direct/stock/oem replacement for 2006 & newer corvettes equipped with an ls7. sure each may fit on the other, but each is intended for specific cars per the part #.

Throw that LS7 pressure plate and disc on an LS1 flywheel and provide a detailed report on your findings.

You are 100% right. Thats why LUK includes the flywheel with the 04-905 LS1 kit. I have both of them here and just checked the part numbers on the pressure plate and clutch disc. There is no difference between 04-905 and 04-263 pressure plates and clutches

so disk & pressure plate are the same ? would make sense, as 04-905 is a kit equipped with a flywheel & NOT the ls7 flywheel, and 04-216 is just a pressure plate & disk & you need to order the flywheel separately .... so seems 04-905 is still vehicle specific, & you could use 04-216 on 04-905 intended cars if just resurfacing or installing an ls1/ls6 flywheel, yet still need an ls7 flywheel if your intentions with the 04-216 are for an ls7 application.
