2005 C6 Z51 Trans in 2001 C5 Z51 need advice I have a T56 transmission out of a 2005 C6 Z51 Corvette. I bought it because I read the gearing is similar to the C5 Z06. Does anyone know what kind of fittings the 05 manual trans uses for the cooling lines??? Anyone had experience with this swap?
And would mounting the trans cooler somewhere under the rear of the car be a good idea as long as its out of harms way?

There is some crossover of the fittings with some other GM models, but I can't tell you off the top of my head which line flare is needed etc.
A flat mount with downwards blowing fan on top of it would work well.
I would rather have the return line pointing at the headset gears from the DS than a cooler, if I had to choose.
