Default M6 mods, repairs

I traded my 93 Z28 for a 92 Vette with 6-speed manual. The transmission works fine, except there is a mild grinding noise at the lower RPMs in most of the gears. I'd like to rebuild the transmission to withstand more power (400 - 450 hp/tq range) and install a short throw shifter. I'm not familiar with what brands are worthy, so if anyone has some personal positive experiences with a certain brand of short throw and/or M6 rebuild kits, I would appreciate it. Also, is the manual in a 92 Vette the ZF six speed or the T56?

D&D and G-force are the two leaders....just depends on how much money you want to spend

it is the ZF, a different trans! i would recommend D&D performance in Wixom, Mi. all day long! i too have heard good things about G Force, but they cost a fair bit more!
