I am getting the Cartek clutch from www.cartek.net installed as we speak.

If you do a search for "cartek clutch" you will see that almost everyone that has one, raves about it.

For $1500, I would get a $300 Ram clutch, and PP, resurface your stock flywheel for $30, and modify your stock master cylinder for under $50 in parts. The $1120 you saved can be sent to jhibberd@home.com via paypal

I'm one of those Cartek guys. It holds good enough to twist the stock driveshaft completely in half, and make my front wheels come off the ground. No complaints!

I own a Cartek (don't have much horsepower) and so far I couldn't be happier ( maybe my wallet could ).

I'm suprised we don't see more people using the McLeod TwinDisk. A buddy of mine broke his T/A and 12bolt with his!

Someone was testing a McLeod PP with a STEEL disk, that apparently was holding up really well. Haven't heard much about it for a while though. Who was that?

RAM or Cartek.

I had a ram metallic disk and their PP in my LT1, but I switched to a Street Twin with the 396. I was unaware that McLeod has an LS1 version of the twin.

I'd probably do cartek, but making certain i got the hyd. setup too.

Eric! Come on man! You've seen all the chit I've dished out to my McLeod! It's been in there over a year and still holding strong enough to break all 5 wheel studs off on one occasion, a driver side axle in the 10 bolt and bend my frickin torque arm. I think they go for $850 these days and that's with everything!

hey if you want email me and I may be able to get you a decent deal on one if your not in a hurry.
