can't downshift 6th to 5th
 

I can shift 123456 but I can’t shift 6 to 5. If I’m in 6th and I try to go to 5th it will not go into gear but, if I go 6 to 4 then to 5th it goes in fine. When I am in 5 and I pull it out halfway and then back into 5 quickly it will make a grinding nose. I am all the way down on the clutch all the time. Any help will be appreciated.

I damaged my 5th gear synchro once when racing (hit 5th from 2nd). Afterwards I had the exact same issue as you. Trans had to be removed/repaired.

worn synchros. Mine's been doing this now for 3 months. Start putting money aside for a rebuild.
