Default switching clutches

after having the ram powergrip in for about 2 weeks and it being very inconsistent, (prob because of the pp being stock material on one side) i have decided to pull it out and go with a powergrip hd. hopefully this clutch will hold much better and i wont have many issues. all i hear is there is some chatter but that doesnt really bother me. what is everyones experience with the HD.

BTW TSP is really helping me in this and Trevor @ TSP and Mike @ Ram are great people to work with and im really glad they helped me solve this issue.

so after talking to Trevor at TSP for a couple of days, he has been in contact with Mike@Ram and they have decided to warranty the PP and send me the new one. however i chose to upgrade to the powergrip HD and get the 900 PP instead of the 900/300 one with the standard powergrip. mike is warranting the PP and i chose to buy a new disk. so im am very happy with the service from the guys at TSP and Ram and they will def. be getting more of my purchases in the future. thanks trevor u saved me a lot of pain.

no im keeping the stock flywheel it was just resurfaced. the reason that i am taking out the pg is that the PP is stock organic material on one side and the ceramic or kevlar or whatever the other side. it happed a couple of times that i would shift and the clutch would slip then grab. it only had 400 miles on it when it started acting up. it was fine for everyday driving (except for the few times it slipped) but if i am gonna take it to the track i need something that i know is gonna hold up. when it grabbed it grabbed hard! i just need something more consistent and i am at the level where the pg is maxed out. its rated to 500 hp max really and i am at pretty close to 500 at the flywheel so the HD is better off for me. it was a nice clutch when it worked...i really liked it. the disk itself is fine almost brand new lookin it was just the PP that was acting up.

got the HD in and it feels great so far. a bit of chatter but no big deal and its not really bad anyways. this damn thing grabs like a *****!!!. i was amazed when i took out the powergrip clutch (non HD) after 400 miles and it had about 300-500 heat cracks in the pressure plate and the ceramic pucks were almost half way gone. the pressure plate also had bad heat burns on it so im glad that i got it out. unbelievable!!!
