Forgot pilot bushing  Installing a rebuilt 350 into a chevy 4x4 ,all back together.Exept the pilot bushing. Can it be drivin without one.or not.I guess tranny has to be dropped to install.ok I can feel the roar of laughter , |
if its an automatci trans your all set |
It can be driven but you won't like the noise and will probably damage the tranny shaft and the crank. Oh yeah.....:D :jest: :) |
If it's an auto he's all set and in the wrong forum.

4 speed manual? if its a manual i would not drive it with out the bushing, its there for a reason |
Not using the pilot bushing/ bearing will damage the internal"pocket" bearing in your trans - rather quickly too. |
I dropped the trany and installed the bushing, before anyone drove the truck. Thanks for the warning. |
