my car is making a weird noise some and im thinkin it is commin from my clutch. It only makes it when i let the clutch out and the clutch is about right at the friction point. Also its weird because if i let off the clutch slow and give it no gas it doesnt do it, but when i let off the clutch while giving it a little gas like normal it makes it. Im not really sure exactly how to describe it, its kinda like a loud screeching or something. By the way I have a spec. stage 3 clutch that I put in over the summer, so it doesnt have more thna 6,000 miles on it, if that. Anyone know waht the prob. could be? It doesnt do it all the time, but its starting to do it more often, so somethin must be gettin worse. From the search i did, all I found it the spring. But if it was the spring, wouldnt it do it in neutral too, ive never heard it when im just letting it out in neutral, only when im going forward and giving it a little gas like normal. Also the clutch is not slipping at all, still griping great.

yea that's common on aggresive material's.. I have not had good experiances w/ SPEC clutch's and none have lasted longer than 3K so... Ride it out till it don't work no more, or take it out and see what the issue is...

I have the same situtation on mine. Makes a screetching sound coming from a dead stop. Its been doing it for at least 10K miles, but the performance of the clutch has not deteriorated that I can noticed.

well i guess if yours has been doing it for 10k miles on yours with no performance loss then maybe mine will be the same. Its just very annoying, and kinda embarissing to hear it schreech, some times its pretty loud.

Yep, looks kinda dumb at a stoplight and you take off to that noise. Since they are so expensive and difficult to install, im leaving it in there till it goes out.

mine just started making that grinding noise just about 2 weeks ago i just put royal purple in it about a week ago. starting to get smother though.my clutch only has about 3 or 4 k.i thought maybe it was something else making that noise (syncros) or something else
