can you make a ls1 have an old style cable clutch?

Default can you make a ls1 have an old style cable clutch?

it seems i'm having to put a new clutch in my 01 ws6 every summer. when i drove a mustang i added a new zoom clutch and it took everything + nos and never went out on me. can i make my ls1 a cable clutch like my stang was? thanks

ah the beauty it would be to have a cable clutch. No more clutch pedal problems

Also the 97 and previous style was fine having the hydraulic outside...
No shims...
No BS...!

i'm getting it stuck to me two times a year. i put a clutch in(no matter what clutch)in march or april and by november it's gone. this is my 6th clutch gone in three summers. i was told by thunderracing we can't do a cable clutch in a ls1.

ah, but we could design one that works and then sell it to every ls1 owner. Trust me, if you build it, they will buy it.

the guy who does my clutch installs has a lt1 and is working on it for the ls1. i hope he finds this soon.

robinator is right, if someone built and perfected a cable set up for the ls1's...and they marketed it right...thats a rich man. mccloud would be a little pissed off too

I'd buy a manual clutch conversion the second it was available for sale.

i was told the lt1 cars did'nt have this problem? can you use the lt1 setup for the ls1?
