Default How much horsepower can a C5 driveline take?

I hear the C5 driveline cant handle applications over 800rwhp for very long. Is this true? How can Vipers drivelines handle the power and a C5 cant?

maybe because the viper comes out with a 500hp motor stock so its already beefy compared to the 3??'s that a C5 has.

As long as you don't power shift and aren't launching at huge RPM dumps on slicks you'll be fine, IMO.
