We have done a couple of Spec stg III plus and had good results.
We have done a Ram HD and its holding better than expected.
Give me a call John if I can help.

So far the only one that lasted for us on the street and track has been a SPEC stage 5. It seams like the 3 only could handle 650rwhp at the track.

Default Hi

If you see the Spec Twin Disk that Jose@forcedinductions.com has you will rethink that about the Mcleod,He took a Mcleod out and the Spec in,It's miles ahead on Shifting,Acts just like a single ,but you can throw the HP at it all day!!!Very nice piece,And I think he's a dealer for them too!!!!!

Just curious...I have a Mcleod twin disc I used for a while but noticed some vibration I couldn't figure out where it was in the drive train so I replaced it with a Spec 3 and no more vibration. Went from 700+HP with a small TNT kit to around 550 N/A when I went to the Spec 3. Does Mcleod "rebuild" their twin discs if I was to send mine back in for my next project? Not sure if its worth the trouble or just go to the Spec 5...

I dunno but if my McLeod twin goes out then im definately trying the spec 5. Already have master or slave cylinder probs but think the clutch itself is still ok. I wouldnt want a rebuilt clutch though if it went out nor would i want to spend the $1200 or $1300 bucks for a brand new one so I'll go Spec 5 until i do the t400

SPEC STAGE 4 was nice but lasted me only 1800 miles... Spec Stage 5 still in the car after 18,000 miles... And yes I drive hard on it!!

The Spec Stage 5 doesn't seem to shudder and take as long to break in as the Spec Stage 3 does. The Stage 5 is also cheaper than the Spec Stage 3+, which is also a very nice clutch. Bob

T56 Rebuilds (site sponser) is the only one I trust with my tranny. Joe does great work at a reasonable price. Let him know I sent ya!

Yes we have the prototype LT1 version of the Spec twin. We have had it for quite sometime. It will also work on the LS1's. It shifts better and the whole assembly is only 22lbs including the flywheel

The Spec Stage 5 is a little harsher than the Stage 3+, but it really doesn't feel much different to me that the Stage 3, although it can take a lot more abuse. Bob

Spec 5 doesn't seem to bad a little stiffer engage ment but not bad considering it doesn't slip like the 3 did.
