Default SPEC stage III and 15k miles

Well, I've had my SPEC III clutch in the car now for about 15k miles of hard driving. It's been on DRs once, took out the rear, LOL, and the rest of the time it's just been on street tires. I've been happy with the clutch with the exception of it's streetabality and longevity! The clutch grabs like a ****, or at least it did. Now if I lug the motor the clutch jumps back and forth between the flywheel and pressure plate shaking the entire car, and it is slipping when I go from a 1 to 2 shift. I have to let off and let it grab, and then get back on it! Needless to say, I don't want to be replacing the clutch every 2 years. Does anyone have any results with the RAM clutches or maby a different SPEC clutch?

I don't blame you about doing a clutch job every 2-3 yrs but have you contacted spec.Usually they'll try to satisfy you, they want return bussiness.Try them first then decide to jump to another clutch

look at the spec 3+ as it is more streetable as it is a full face instead of puck face like the regular 3.

I got spec 3+ after regular spec 3 took crap after 30,000 hard driven miles.

My spec 4 has 35k miles on it and isnt showing any signs of slippage. IMO your asking too much from the clutch. Look what you put it through, 2 years is decent amount of life.

Yeah. I just got a new set of DRs and they aren't going on the car just for that reason. I really don't want to granade the thing and take out the block, bellhousing, floor pan, my feet, anything in the dash, and maby a windshield! I think I'm going to try a RAM powergrip HD.
