Is it realy necessary to resurface your stock flywheel?....
My mechanic looked at my stock flywheel & he says it's in very good shape. He said there would be no need to resurface it so therefore, no need for the shim to be installed with my SPEC 3.....So what do you guys think ??????......

It costs like $20-$30 to resurface. I say it's worth it. Mine looked fine too... until I took it to get resurfaced. He put it on the machine, and I watched the stone as it ground. Definitely had high spots / low spots - you could see them being worked through. The machine makes it all 1 level surface for the new clutch to work with.
I say do it.
