I've had normal ATF in my tranny since it was replaced under warranty 40k+ miles ago. My tranny is still fine. Where do these rumors start?
I just switched over to Specialty Formulations Synchroglide, and my tranny shifts smoother now. It sounds like their MTFGlide might be better, but I'd have to compare the two in MY car to know for sure. Either way, I'm a big fan of Specialty Formulations.
