Default T56 Transmission swap
I have a 98 ls1 with a 6 speed. i blew up 2nd gear and just thought id replace the trans. i was wondering what will fit. will the new GTO t-56 fit?

I could be wrong but I think the GTO T56 has its shifter in a different position from the F-body T56. Why not have yours rebuit to take more abuse now that you have the chance....or buy another T56 out of a F-body?

x2 on having it rebuilt. If you're gonna spend that kind of money you might as well get one you know will stand up to some abuse.
