I have a 99 ss, and I am ordering a ls7 clutch and 01 slave cylinder. My question is should I buy a mcleod adjustable master cylinder or will I be ok with the newer master cylinder?

You don't NEED an adjustable MC if that is your question. You will, on the other hand, need an LS2 flywheel......I believe.

98-00 master = old master
01-02 master = new upgraded master

even though your 98 master might work fine for now it wouldn't hurt to upgrade it. Just for added security. just my .02
