Default f*&8^n transmission isn't going back in

Like the titlee reads, after putting in a new clutch the damn tranny won't go in. It reaches about half an inch before the bellhousing and stays pretty much stuck. Its horrible, I also have no internet connection (**** you too verizon) so I'm doing this from a phone, what can I check ? I need help asap, the clutch was aligned and everything...thanks

Sounds like you are stuck on the pilot bearing. They can be a bastard to get back in sometimes. As long as you used a clutch disc alignment too things should be lined up pretty good. You probably need to manhandle the damn thing a bit, wiggle it up down, side to side until in slides in.

This just happend to me a couple days ago. Its the dowels on the tranny. Make sure they are lined up and start a couple bolts by them and see if it starts to suck it up against the bellhousing.
