my friends tranny needs help Im posting this for one of my buds who lives in the stoneage and doesnt have internet. He has a 98 z28 6spd. Every once in a while when he shifts into 4th it will pop out and grind a little. It started doing it in 3rd as well. He says it never does it unless he is at low rpms. I dont think its ever done it with him over 3000rpm. I think its probably syncros or shift fork. Does this sound like the problem? If so, how much will it cost to fix it?
