Default Ram Powergrip HD warranty info? and more...

OK, my friend has a 2000 SS and replace his stock clutch with a RAM POWERGRIP HD. Now we had to drill two holes in the pressure plate housing in order for the clutch assembly to get past the pins on the flywheel. So will these holes void the warranty. I ask this because with less that 2K miles and w/o launching evenonce yet on the RAM clutch, it crapped out and only has 1/16th of an inch of friction material on the pucks on the clutch disk. The flywheel was turned before the new clutch was installed. He purchased the clutch set on Summit, if that makes a difference on the warranty info. Also should he go ahead and buy a new/different clutch while waiting on the warranty to possibly replace the unit or just wait to hear back from summite about the replacement.

Instead of drilling the pressure plate just knock the pins out with a punch next time. I installed my Powergrip HD without any drilling

+1 for pushing out the pins... don't drill.
