Default clutch questions

ok so i just got a new zoom clutch a new slave and master as well as flywheel.... i was under the impression that a new hd style clutch is gonna be harder on the ol' left leg but this one is as soft as my wife's beetle it seems to work fine and release fast the mechanic also did the drill mod could this have somthing to do with it.... i know that i can put the car in 2nd at 60mph now and thats good but why is it so soft.....sorry for the ramble

Many of the aftermarket clutches have stock-like pedal feel. Most of it is due to the hydraulic actuation system and the rest is because the pressure plates they use don't have a lot more clamping force. They get better grip by changing the friction materials.

this thing is way softer than my stocker
