Default spec 3, toast! Been in since FEB! Fragged on dragweek

So back in feb, my stock clutch went out on my way to alabama. I had to change it on the fly, luckily spec is in alabama, so I went and got a spec 3 and billet flywheel.....flash foward to last sunday, test and tune for HOTROD dragweek.

Clutch went on my 11.9 pass. I thought I was done before it started. Luckily some damn good friends drove 5 hours from omaha nebraska to cordova with a friends just broke in spec 4.

I guess I was one of those guys that the spec 3 just didnt hold up for. I wont be buying another one thats for damn sure.

On another note, with the spec 4 the pedal feels like stock! It did take me quite a few passes weds to figure out where the clutch grabbed at, I couldnt quite slip it like the spec 3. As far as drivability goes, the 4 isnt that bad at all.

Anyways, **** on spec for having this stage 3 take a **** in under 4k miles, and 1500 of those were on the highway.

I slipped it a bit, but I thought it would hold up. Obviously not.

The spec clutch's don't like to be slipped.Video in my sig is a spec 3I that I dump at 6,700 rpm.I don't get why people slip the clutch and then get surprized when the clutch goes. Don't slip a spec and you will be alright

My Spec 3 took a cr*p on me on Friday night. And I didn't even slip it. It only had around 2800 miles on it and a new Spec Billet flywheel. We will see how they are about warrantying it.

I love it

SPEC 3 =crap because it is slipped hard out of the hole.
Put SPEC 4 in and drag race the hell out of it first thing with no breakin
Don't be surprised if this one blows early too

SPECS are not made to slip very much.Street driving is the worse than the track because it is slipped the most

Don't worry,I'm just as abussive on my clutches.Slip them to death at 5500rpm on launch BUT I do not expect them to last long. You should see how short of a life alot of those other clutches lasted
