Default Anyone have a F-body AND a C5 with Aftermarket Shifters?

I've had 2 C5's - one with a B&M Ripper and the current one with a Hurst Billet Plus. I Just got a 99 T/A with a Hurst (May be factory???).

I'm amazed at the difference in feel between the T/A and either of the Vettes. The Vettes are very short throw, high effort, a bit notchy but precise. The T/A is high effort, but quite vague .

I'm hoping someone who has both can tell me if this is how it should be.

Guess I need to check trans mounts, motor mounts. and track bar too.
I expect maybe any problems there are making the slop worse, but I 'd still like the comparison on how it should be from someone else.

Although I have no experience with a Vette, I do have experience with F-body shifters. If it is indeed the factory Hurst, I know exactly what that "vague" feeling is, and it is caused by the way the top of the stick mounts to the bottom. They use a rubber bushing to damp vibration, and that leads to a spongy feel. Change the stick to a solid, non-bushed piece or to a different shifter, and I'm sure you'll feel the kind of shift you are looking for.
