Default Do I need a master?? Please help answer some LS7 questions.

I just ordered the ls7 clutch kit, slave, and pilot bearing. Should i have replaced the master??? Will it really be a big deal, i currently have 67k on the car. And one other question, what do we mean when we talk about updated hydraulics????? Just the slave and master? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Replacing the slave with an 01-02 model is the main thing for updating hydraulics. If the master worked fine before, I'd leave it alone. There is no update for the master either. If it fails, you can replace it without pulling the trans anyway. I've gone through three slaves and am still running the original master without problems.
