Default Car stuck in N and will not shift after started

Little bro has a 00 Z28 M6. Just had a new clutch about 2 months ago. Also at the same time had the slave cylinder replaced. He is stranded right now and the car will not go in gear. He states the pedal feels normal. If he puts it in R or 1st and starts the car it begins to move in that direction. What would you expect?

It sounds like the clutch is mated to the flywheel. My car did the exact same thing, and it was the typical Spec problem. The clutch had gotten hot and stuck to the flywheel. We broke it loose by putting the car in gear, pushing in the clutch and starting it. I don't know if it will work for you or not.

Sounds like the clutch isn't fully disengaging. I'd check the hydraulics first to see if there is any air in the lines. Have him bleed through the slave cylinder bleeder valve, then use a mityvac to bleed through the hole in the master cylinder reservoir.
