lt1 t56 vs. ls1 t56
hey guys im going to start collecting parts for my turbo ls2 swap into my 94 supra. im looking to save a little money here and there because i immagine this swap is going to cost me out the butt.
any way long story short i have a buddy with a t56 from an lt1 that needs a rebuild that i can pick up for about $300. this is by far the cheapest t65 i have seen. my question is how much different is the lt1 t56 from the ls1 t56. can the older t56 be built to hold gobbs of power? im going to be shooting for single digits and looking to make little over 1k rwhp. cna i do it on this trans?
thanks in advance

The bells do not interchange directly..and the input shaft and front plate (cover) of the trans would need to be swapped to work either way.
