I have a 93 LT1-T56 T/A. the tranny is screwed. i also have a complete LS1-T56 car that was bought for the motor and wiring harness. can i use this tranny, clutch, flywheel, slave, and/or ANY combination of the two cars to aquire drivability again??? any help is GREATLY appreciated.
p.s. If this swap is NOT possible, I would trade for an lt1 version, any one interested, fordrecoveryexpert@REMOVE_THIS_BEFOR...INGyaho o.com

The trans parts can be swapped with a few cautions.
1)The ratios must match : the LS1 box is a 2.66LGR .If the LT1 is a 2.97 or a rare3.36LGR you will have to buy the correct 2.66LGR input.
2)The cover/ front adapter will swap but may require some extra shimming/ machining in the bearing pockets. The LT1 gears are narrower than the LS1 parts. Using early LT1 gears in the LS1 requires extra shimming( alot) . Using LS1 gears in the early LT1 reqires machining of the bearing pockets.
3)The bell / release system components will swap easily.
