clutch guru's help... Ok, i went to the track today, quick story short, i got some pretty good 60's and my cartek clutch was holding up fine. It was bout high 80's outside and was about to do my fourth run, doing a burnout and , wham, no tirespin w/my linelock.. Now i have ET streets,11.5/26/16 so its slipping, so i line up and sure enough its slipping... It was bad, i could feel it between shifts also.. So i let it sit and drive it home for another hour and a half and change the fluid real quick and drive it again,no go. Its not to bad shifting between gears now, but from a dead stop or rolling when i let the clutch out of first it seems to want to die and i have to give it alot of gas and then if i dump the clutch it will bog and go, but still not grabbing like i used to.. I tryed adjusting the MC and moving the rod closer to the firewall but still no good. Its making a high pitching moaning sound and its annonying. Ive only had this clutch for about 4,000 miles , recently replaced from a current cartek that took a dump on me... I dont want or have funds to get a new clutch, its not that old and having to replace clutches every 4-8,000 miles on a car that sees the track maybe once a month is crazy... Sorry for long post, just thought i would try and get some ideas from you guys. |
