Should i buy a new clutch? Drifting \ Dragging 2 weekends apart.
alright, so basically i havnt upgraded my clutch yet. still bone stock, 45 000 km's on it, (27 000 miles) there is absoutely nothing wrong with it right now.
but with my new found moser 9" and drag radials i assumed that 1 track day ( drag racing ) would cook it. am i right?
also, 1 week before the track day is a Drift day, this is the first of its kind in my area, so i want to hit it up, now i know you have to "kick" the clutch, but im getting a set of 225's they are hard as rocks, so i shouldnt have a problem throwing it sideways.
ive never been drifting but it looks like a lot of fun. and ill probabaly be the only domestic.
basically, should i just buy a new clutch right now? and save something happening to my stock one? almost like preventative measures,
or just run the stock one till im done the track day, then buy a new one?
what is a good type of clutch to get? im thinking maybe spec 3+ but i have heard some bad things about them. whats another option
