LS7---best buy??? two questions.....who sells the ls7 clutch kit the cheapest?....the only place i found that has it is speed inc and they charge an extra 200 for the flywheel. and is the lst clutch kit the best bang for the buck right now?....i have a h/c ws.6.......

Ordered mine Monday! Havent got it yet hopefully in a day or so! They threw throwout bearin,pilot bearin, and bolt kit in for free, but the order was still 460 something for the clutch and all

I'm considering ordering one from SDPC soon too, is there anything special that you need for installing it on a 1998? I just want a solid list of what to buy so I don't end up forgetting anything. My list looks like this so far:
LS7 kit from SDPC
Pilot Bearing
Bolt kit (maybe)
Slave Cylinder
Drill Mod
New Fluid
Am I on the right track? Anything missing?

Don't forget an alignment tool if you don't have one already! For under $7, you can save yourself ALOT of headache and frustration.

+1 for SDPC. Got my LS7 clutch/pressure plate/LS2 flywheel kit, pilot bearing, new master and slave cylinder from them. I wish I had gotten the bolt kit and alignment tool, had to go out and get those seperately. Shipped pretty quickly, too.
What about the Z06 clutch kit? They were great a few years ago.

If your car is close to stock then the LS6 will be okay. But you are better off getting the LS7 because it will hold more power and it's cheaper
