Default Reverse funky after new clutch???

I just got my LS7 clutch finished last night and while I was at it I changed the tranny fluid (Mobil1 ATF), but now it is waaaay easier to put in reverse. Before I had to kinda force it over, now it's just like any other gear. The only thing I changed was that I pulled out what looked to be a skip-shift eliminator. Funny thing is my skip-shift worked until I got it tuned out when I installed my cam. Maybe it was installed on the reverse lockout solenoid?

have you tried putting it in reverse while you are moving forward? Hopefully the gate still locks you out of it.
edit: and yes those plugs and be swapped between the two.

You may need to rebleed your slave. I had problems shifting into any gear when I put Mobil1 in mine a while back. Wierd.

I tried it and it does lock reverse out. If I put it in reverse with the key off, it feels like it did before and thinking back on it the eliminator was connected to the rear solenoid, so I guess that's what it was. Thanks guys!

I've noticed it's a little more notchy with the Mobil1, but it feels great. My fluid that came out was black

I'm telling you, if your trans has stock internals, use the regular ATF. Mine felt like the synchros were gone after one day of driving with the Mobil. I used Walmart Supertech fluid and it was like new again immediately.
