Question Exedy Twin Disc Users COME IN!!!

what are your opinions about the clutch are they worth the $? i got a connection where i can get it for $1,500 shipped should i jump on it?

They're very popular with th Evo's. A couple of my friends run them and love it. I haven't seen any F-Body guys with one though.

ive heard bad things about the tex the buddy who can get me a deal has the same one in his Evo

I have a couple of coustomers with them, one here in town. The Exedy is easier on blocker rings than most due to the reduced mass of the clutch discs, the hold a good amount of power to. The customer in town makes 800rwhp. The only down side is they are a little grabby, due to the flywheels low mass. Smooth stop light lauches take practice, or lots of rear gear.

this is my shop's say so about the Tex clutches -

I hate them! We just installed one this week and the clutch seemed to drag just enough that it made the transmission hard to shift into gear when sitting still. The pedal released very low even though I bleed the system until the fluid ran clear. The pedal feel was great, it just released right on the floor.

We even pulled the transmission back out today and put a shim behind the slave like Spec uses in hopes that the clutch would start releasing sooner but no luck. Thats the 3rd Textraila clutch I've installed and they have all give trouble. We're ordering an LS7 for it now....
