Guys

I have been told conflicting things about whether or not a T56 out of an 06 GTO will bolt up with an LS1. I was told the starter stuff was different, clutch setup could possibly different?

Can anyone shed some light on thise? I've found the trans for a decent deal, just wondering if I'm going to get nickle and dimed to death finding all the other stuff I may need....

Yes but you will need to change the shifter from the GTO to the LS1 Camaro. They are different and it takes a different offset lever. That is on the shift rail where the shifter bolts to. Easy swap and will cost you $25.00.

Here is the gear ratio's for the GTO:

1st Gear: 2.97
2nd Gear: 2.07
3rd Gear: 1.43
4th Gear: 1.00
5th Gear: .80
6th Gear: .62

Thanks for the info, I am not so much concerned with the shifter because this combo is going into a nissan 240sx anyways.......
