Default T56 shifter feels really loose!

The shifter is feeling very loose! Not to the point of falling off or anything, but there is play when I'm in gear! I have a B&M ripper shifer which I have not checked yet. I honestly think that the problem is on the linkage and/or internal stops. Anyone else have this problem?

I had that problem with a hurst billet plus shifter and the handle was just loose. That would be the first and easiest thing to check. If it's tight then It's internal. May want to check that little white 'cup' that the shifter sets in too.

THe B&M stick does not bolt on, it is one piece. I'd look at the plastic cap as well. Or, it could be something broken in the shifter (at the pivot point). Good luck.
