Very very impressive. It looks like it gets a little loose in second.

That thing launches like a mother. Why doesn't my tranny shift that smoothly?

It isn't face plated. Go face plated and it will

What exactly does 'fate plated' mean?

I've tried searching but to no avail. I guess I'm a 6-speed idiot.

From the limited information I can find on google its refered to as Lock plated as well... i may be completely wrong, but it sounds like whatever process is involved to "face plate" the transmission is basically to make sure the transmission stays in the gear you are in... I would assume on a normal T-56 with synchros with major horsepower like sixspeedinc's car it would pop out of gear. Amber let me know if I'm totally wrong.

Think dog ring, you might get more hits by search for dog ring enguagement, basicly it has large lugs to enguage the gears vs the small syncro teeth and a friction surface. It is 1000 times more durable for racing but is very loud to drive around on the street. We have 2 customers in town that drive the out on Fri and Sat nights. The tranny emits a pretty loud clank/crunch when put in first gear, but other than that is is very smooth, it takes time to perfect down shifting, but is very relable, less moving parts to break.
