Can't bleed clutch!

I spent almost 3 hours today trying to bleed my clutch. I just installed a Spec Stage 3 clutch, and replaced the master cylinder with a stock unit (2002) and did the drill mod. I then prebled the system by pushing down the clutch pedal, opening the quick disconnect for a second, pulled the clutch pedal back up, pushed it back down etc. I did this until I couldn't open the quick disconnect anymore. Then I hooked the line from the master back up to the trans. Once I did this I barely had any pressure on the clutch, so I pushed the clutch down, opened the valve on the trans for a second, closed it, then pulled the pedal back up and lost all pressure. I repeated this probably 50 or 60 times and never got any pressure back to the clutch. I made sure to keep the master filled with fluid also. And fluid never really poured out whenever I opened the valve, it would just dribble a little bit at a time.

After getting pissed off, I just left the valve open on the trans for a min, closed it, went to go check the clutch pedal, and it felt like stock again. WTF .... I have no idea what is going on. Should I be ok to drive the car now or do I still need to bleed the clutch? If so what was I doing wrong and why was I never getting pressure?

Search for the Mighty Vac. I went to Harbor Frieght and got one...There is so much air that you don't realize that is still in the system. I bled it from the clutch master resevoir, and you can see the bubbles coming out. The pedal felt spongy the first time I bled it with your method. Then I used the mighty vac and it is 10 times better. Just hooked it up again tonight after 60 miles on the SPEC III and there was more air I got out, pedal feels even better.

I opened the bleeder and had someone pump the pedal to get the air out while someone else was pouring fluid in from the top, was done in 10 minutes.
