Clutch options for turbo setup
ok ive been searching for a few hours now and cant find what im looking for.
I need a clutch that will handle my 600+ whp/600+ wtq turbo setup. I have the Spec 3 (from specs website: stage 3 - 700 ft lbs tq capacity - 3800 psi pressure plate) but when the car is in boost, it is slipping with the high end torque in the higher gears. The clutch does have probably 20k+ miles on it, but i want to make sure the new clutch can handle it with a bit of life (15K-20K miles). I LOVED the Spec 3 with my previous setup (4.10's, 315Dr's, mild bolt ons)... but now with the 3.23 gears and turbo, its not holding up.
Ive been looking up textralia's... but i cant find what the exo-skel or the OZ700 ZGrip support as far as tq. Which would be better when in full bost in higher gears? The exo-skel has a smalle surface area, so would the OZ700Z be better? Or does the exo-skel still grip better?
Other options? (please include part numbers if possible)
Prerequsite's:
- Daily drivable (95% street - 5% track) I do like to autocross, but not often (3-4 times a year)
- reasonable cost
- decent life (15k-20k miles)
- very strong grip (especially higher rpms & higher gears)
I guess ill make some calls on monday... I guess im just too **** about stuff. lol. Thanks for any help!
