Default Silicone in Clutch Master Cylinder???

Has anyone tried putting silicone instead of Dot 3 or Dot 4 brake fluid in there clutch master cylinder? If so, what has been your experince with it? It has a higher boiling point which I think would be better. Also, Does anyone know where I can get some kind of flexable heat protective sleeve for the steel braided line on the clutch master cylinder?
