Default weak links

what are the weak links in a t-56 tranny. i'm going to be buying one or rebuilding my. what are the weak links that should removed. i don't have alot of money to spend on a race prep t 56. budget minded upgrades.

The factory aluminum 3/4 shift fork and slider keys are common failure points. Upgrading to a steel fork, billet keys and bronze fork pads would be good budget upgrades.

How much power would this tranny hold?

Done right, Sixspeed Stage 1 is good for 700 ft/lb and 700 HP.
