Cool Trextailia OZ700 X Grip Just installed NOT SO HAPPY THREE MONTHS LATER PICS INSIDE

So i just got my new clutch installed and i have about 40 miles on it and i have to say the Trextailia is freaking awesome so far install was easy no shims or special stuff went right in bled the system and it has been doing awesome so far seems real grabby but you can slip it pretty easily pedal pressure is almost as good as stock a little harder but very nice piece. Also i want to thank Byunspeed for getting me good parts at a good price and awesome customer service.

Do a clutch test and let us know how it is.

Find a Dead Flat surface.

Put the car in 1st

While holding the clutch pedal in, rev the motor slowly from idle to redline.

If the car moves, its not fully disengaged.

Let us know if yours does this.

Thanks.

ok so three months after i installed the clutch here is what it looks like less than 5k miles on it, it would not disengage all the way toward the end of the 3 months

Sounds like a Hydraulics problem if it wasn't dis-engaging all the way..

Mine looked similar to that after 732 miles. I had no problems with DISengaging. It chattered real bad while engaging. I got tired of burning rubber in traffic just to move 20 ft. I took it out and replaced it with an LS7 kit. No problems after 1100 miles.

well i contacted tex but it doesnt seem like they are going to do anything so i can send the clutch to them and they will check it either way ill probably have to buy a new one especially since i have heard of this happening to many tex clutches without a adjustable master

Regardless of your next clutch choice - check out our adjustable master cylinder kit. It'll solve any and all disengagement issues you may be having.

Best of luck with the folks from Textralia - they've always been very helpful for us.

Unless your using a Tilton Mster Cyl, then yours is not like theirs. The ones people make are like the RAM, a stock GM unit with a welded on Eyelet.

I have used all 3, the Tick piece flat out works

Thanks for posting that, BlackScreaminMachine. The stock cylinders made adjustable (RAM, Cartek, etc) are all using the stock GM Master Cylinder, therefore they flow no extra fluid so they are still inferior in design.

I consider making the stock GM cylinder adjustable in the same league as the drill mod and heat-wrapping the line: all are bandaids for the problem that is the GM hydraulic design.

Instead of slightly improving the problem, why not ELIMINATE the problem? The Tick Performance Adjustable Clutch Master Cylinder Kit is the only way to get these things shifting like they should.

i never stated that mine was exactly like Tick's but i just my own adjustable. I use to have the problem with the clutch not disengaging all the way (where it would be in neutral and rev the car would move) so i made it just the way it says on the sticky at the top of this section. This started happening with 5k on the clutch, so i did the mod at that time. Now with 13k total on this clutch it still works like a champ and i have no problems shifting or disengaging. It also would grab at the bottom of the pedal close to the floor board now thats fixed too. Grabs up higher like it should. Might not be exactly like Tick's which is suppose to flow more fluid but so far i haven't had a need for that since it works just fine. Not bad for spending less than $3.00.

btw its not even drilled or heat wrapped either
