v8 t-5 to v6 t-5 replacement
I have a T-5 from my 1989 Camaro Iroc-Z (5.7l)which blew the input shaft and cluster gear. I was going to rebuild this and send it to my brother stationed overseas with a 1998 Firebird v6.
I know he will have to use his bellhousing but will it be a direct fit?
are the splines different?

Totally different setup . Your unit has a 26 spline input shaft and a GM bolt pattern front case .
Your brothers unit has a Ford pattern front case and a different spline input shaft (19 I think) .
