trans removal today

Default trans removal today

well my slave went out and with my car having 77k on the clock i decided to replace the clutch while in there. today i got the trans out using jack stands and a jack with some tie straps in 2 hours... i dont think i did to bad for a first timer being only 19 with no help what so ever now time to celebrate

Good job! I'm 40 and it took me 3 hours, didn't have the right swivel socket for the bellhousing 2 weekends ago.

yea it sure is nice if you have the rite swivel, try it with solid moter mounts, now that was fun last nite lol

my biggest problem was the rear trailing arm bolts because i took it out to get it out of the way, first i had to run to sears for some impact sockets, then my air compressor sheared off the pump pully shaft so i just about gave up, until i noticed the breaker bar layin next to me

Even with poly, I had to tilt the motor using the jack under the pulley. No fun!

im looking forward to putting it back together, being able to drive my car will be a huge incentive to get it back together....i will have help gettin it back in as well
