Description:

I am selling my 416 because I am building an iron block 427 capable of 1500hp. I am open to offers, but would obviously prefer to sell this as a complete long block with intake if possible.

Engine is setup with 24x crank and LS2 style timing gear (will work in any 4th gen F-Body, early LS truck, C5 or C6 Corvettes, or street rods (may require relocation of your knock sensor and cam sensor harnesses).

Static compression ratio is about 9.9:1. I was going to run an LSA blower initially, but have only run the engine normally aspirated since installation.

Engine has 13,000 miles of pretty much daily driving with no issues other than some oil consumption (typical of LS especially stroked engines). I believe ERL set up the rings a little loose. Compression check completed 2/9/19 and all cylinders at 90psi +/- 3psi. Spark plugs all clean and perfect ash color. No smoke on start up or driving. Two video links of startup:

Start Up at Muffler

Start Up with Gauges

Here is the setup:

ERL built 416cid short block (see build sheet below)
4-inch stroke Callies crankshaft with billet 24x reluctor
Callies Compstar connecting rods
Wiseco Forged Dished pistons (-15cc)
GMPP Ported LS3 Cylinder Heads
Vengeance Racing KAOTIK Camshaft (235/243 .621/.624 113 LSA)
Brian Tooley Platinum Valve spring kit with Tool Steel Retainers (good to .660 lift)
GM LS3 Rockers with CHE trunion upgrade
Vengeance Racing chrome moly pushrods (7.400)
All timing gears used were new GM
C5R Timing Chain
LS2 style timing chain dampener
Melling Oil Pump
Comp 850 Lifters
ARP Head Studs, Main Studs, and Cam Bolts
GM MLS Head Gaskets
Regular oil changes with Mobil 1

Asking Price will include
GM LS3 Intake manifold
Nick Williams 92mm cable driven throttle body
Holley fuel rails with -6an fittings

NOT INCLUDED: valve covers, front cover, rear cover, oil pan, oil pickup, fuel injectors, throttle cable bracket, balancer

Asking $5,600 plus shipping for all listed above

PM me or email turbows6@hotmail.com

All photos are from the original build. All new parts were used

90psi compression is pretty low... you sure it's not 190psi

90psi is atypical for sure, but dynamic compression is affected by camshaft timing. The Kaotik cam is very aggressive for this setup. It was intended to have a positive displacement blower originally. Plans change
